First Run Coach has no account, no server of its own and no ads. Your plan progress, run log, how each run felt, notes, interval presets, reminder days and settings are stored only on your phone.
First Run Coach makes no network requests for your runs. It does not use GPS or location, step counting, body sensors, the microphone or the camera, and it does not connect to health platforms. Run timing is worked out from the time you pressed start. While a run is going, First Run Coach shows a media notification so the coach's voice cues keep playing with the screen off; that is the only reason it runs in the background. Coach voices are audio files built into the app. Run-day reminders are local notifications scheduled on your phone. Backups and CSV exports are created on your phone and only go where you choose to save or share them. Uninstalling the app deletes its data from your phone.
First Run Coach is a beginner running plan, not medical advice. Check with your doctor before starting a new exercise program, especially if you have a heart condition, are pregnant or have not been active in a while. Stop and walk if you feel chest pain, dizziness or faintness, and seek medical help if it continues.
First Run Coach contains no analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising SDK and no advertising ID. If this ever changes, this page will be updated before the change ships.
First Run Coach Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play. We receive no payment details; Google Play tells the app only whether Pro was bought.
First Run Coach is not directed to children under 13.
