Soberpaddle privacy policy

Effective November 3, 2026. Publisher: New Era Labs (New Era Intelligence), Calgary, Alberta, Canada.

What we collect

Soberpaddle has no account, no server of its own, no ads and no community. Your trackers, start dates, slips, check-ins, moods, cravings, triggers, journal entries, reasons, savings goals and settings are stored only on your phone. We never see them.

How it works

Soberpaddle makes no network requests for your data. Reminders and milestone notifications are local notifications scheduled on your phone; by default they do not mention sobriety or any substance. The app lock uses your phone's own PIN or biometric check; your fingerprint or face data never reaches the app. "Call my person" opens your phone dialer with the number you saved; the app cannot read your contacts. Backups, CSV exports and Pro postcards are created on your phone and only go where you choose to save or share them. Uninstalling the app deletes its data from your phone.

Analytics and tracking

Soberpaddle contains no analytics, no crash reporting service, no advertising SDK and no advertising ID. If this ever changes, this page will be updated before the change ships.

Purchases

Soberpaddle Pro is a one-time purchase processed by Google Play. We receive no payment details; Google Play tells the app only whether Pro was bought.

Not treatment or medical advice

Soberpaddle is a personal tracker, not treatment or medical advice. Stopping alcohol, benzodiazepines or opioids suddenly can be dangerous; talk to a doctor or pharmacist about withdrawal. If you are in crisis, call or text 9-8-8 in Canada or 988 in the US.

Children

Soberpaddle is intended for adults 18 and over and is not directed to children.
