1. Overview

QuietLoop is a distraction-free, local-first ambient sleep and white noise mixer for adults. QuietLoop requires no user account, displays zero advertisements, and stores your custom sound mixes, volumes, and timer preferences locally on your device.

2. Information Stored & Processed

Saved Sound Mixes & Playback Preferences (On-Device): Your active sound layers, individual layer volumes, saved custom mixes, favourite sounds, default sleep timer, and fade-out duration are saved locally on your phone so your bedroom mix is ready in one tap.
Anonymous Crash & Reliability Telemetry (Optional / Minimal): To ensure overnight background playback never stops unexpectedly, QuietLoop may use Firebase Crashlytics and basic anonymous app-stability events (such as crash traces and playback reliability counters). No name, email, contact list, location, or microphone audio is ever collected.

QuietLoop has no user accounts, no cloud login, no social feed, and no advertising SDKs. Your sound mixes never leave your phone.

3. Android Permissions & Why We Request Them

Foreground Service Media Playback (FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK): Required on Android so your layered sleep soundscape continues playing seamlessly overnight when you lock your screen or turn off your display, and so you can pause/play from the system media notification.
Wake Lock (WAKE_LOCK): Used during active audio playback and sleep timer countdowns so the Android OS does not suspend the audio engine mid-sleep.
Google Play Billing (com.android.vending.BILLING): Used by Google Play to process and restore the optional one-time QuietLoop Pro lifetime unlock.

4. Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or share any user data with advertisers, data brokers, or third parties.

5. Data Retention & Deletion Controls

You can delete any saved mix or reset all local app preferences inside Settings → Reset QuietLoop, or by uninstalling the app from your device.

6. No Microphone Recording & Non-Medical Utility

QuietLoop only plays locally bundled ambient audio loops; it never accesses your microphone or records bedroom audio. QuietLoop is a relaxation and environmental sound-masking utility and is not a medical device.

7. Children's Privacy

QuietLoop — Sleep & Ambient Sound Mixer is designed for adults and is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be published at this URL with an updated Effective Date.
